Requirement: Following expansion of its Cleansing department, South Dublin County Council needed to source high-quality office and canteen accommodation for its supervisors and staff at the city’s Ballymount depot. The Cleansing section provides street cleaning, roadsweeping, junk collection and litter bin emptying services across the South Dublin area.

Portakabin Titan buildings are the largest single modular buildings in Europe. They offer bright, spacious interiors that can be configured in a variety of ways to suit the needs of different end users. The all-steel buildings are attractive and robust, well able to withstand the rigours of the most demanding locations.

Two Titan buildings were supplied to meet the needs of South Dublin County Council’s Cleansing team. They were configured to provide an engineer’s office and inspector’s office, an open-plan office space and meeting room, plus a canteen and large seating area. The two buildings are linked by a short corridor, creating a single integrated facility for the depot’s staff.

To create a comfortable, welcoming working environment all year round, Allspace installed an air-conditioning system which maintains a constant temperature within the building. It also means that the building can be sealed against the sometimes dusty environment outside yet still remain a pleasant place to work.

The buildings were delivered on the agreed date and installed efficiently by the professional Allspace team. Once fitted out with the council’s furniture they were ready for immediate use by the depot staff.
